About Joanne

Since she was a small child, Joanne has ridden, dreamed about, and drawn horses, which has always been her favorite subject. She majored in Art Education at the State University of New York at New Paltz. Joanne grew up in Port Washington, New York and raised her family on the East End of Long Island. Currently, she lives in the beautiful beach community of Bayville, New York.

Humbly, Joanne has exhibited her pieces in renowned galleries across the North East. These include the Fitzgerald Gallery  in Westhampton Beach, NY, Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY, Farmington Valley Arts in Avon, CT, Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn, NY, and Woods Hole Art Gallery in Cape Cod.

With great honor, Joanne had the opportunity to illustrate Mint's Christmas Message, a story written by her sister Mary Yaiullo Spitz. A beautiful sermon by Mary's father-in-law has been exquisitely crafted into a critically acclaimed children's book, visualized through Joanne's beautiful illustrations.

One of the greatest pleasures in Joanne's life is to donate her time and talent for the promotion of horsemanship, equine rescue, and therapeutic riding programs.
