Inspired by the thrilling, nail-biting conclusion of the EQUUS Foundation Grand Prix at the 2015 Fairfield County Hunt Club June Benefit Horse Show, After the Jump Off captures the immediate, quiet aftermath of high-stakes competition. Joanne utilizes a dynamic, depth-focused composition—framing the scene through prominent jump standards while a horse and rider clear the ring near the illuminated scoreboard. Rendered with incredible precision in colored pencil on illustration board, this 2017 original masterfully balances tense athletic movement with architectural structure.
