Georgie — Middleburg, VA is a classic, deeply soulful head-and-neck equine study created during Joanne's time in the heart of Northern Virginia's historic hunt country. Masterfully rendered in colored pencil on paper, the work captures extraordinary anatomical precision, velvety shading, and a gentle, intelligent expression in the horse's eye. A prominent 1995 vintage original from her studio archive, this piece was featured at Equine Affaire, where it drew immediate acclaim from top national riders and established Joanne’s signature mastery in fine equine portraiture.
