Capturing the quiet elegance and focused composure of elite equestrian sport, Rider and Chestnut Jumper depicts a horse and rider crossing the lush grass ring during the 2015 EQUUS Foundation Grand Prix at the Fairfield County Hunt Club. Joanne masterfully renders the athletic form, intricate turnout, and warm coat of the chestnut sport horse in colored pencil on illustration board, set against the distinguished backdrop of the landmark clubhouse and grand prix tents. This 2015 original captures the rich heritage, poise, and prestige defining American show jumping.
